The output of the backup is just a file, you can copy or move it wherever you want. No, unless you want to do something weird, you only need a license on your client (the thing doing backups/restorations).Used it professionally and personally before. I can only vouch for drive-level backups, not file-folder ones, but it's really rock-solid software.
You can actually mount the drive backups rather than having some weird special UI, which I really like. I haven't used every backup software before, but I've tried more than a few and I've found Reflect is the fastest/easiest at restoration. You can have it do either, but I think the most popular way of doing it is grandfather-father-son with full-differential-incremental.

Would I need two licenses, one for my laptop and one for my server?Ī year ago I tried to do a full image to a new larger SSD for my laptop using the free version, it seemed relatively straightforward process but it didn't work for me and I didn't have time to troubleshoot. I'd like to do a daily backup to my home server such that if something happened to my laptop, I'd have a backup copy on my server. So does the software figure out the changes made each day and only backup the changes or does it do a full drive backup each day? And does it also restore to a previous day or copy relatively well?
